Enjoy a sunny afternoon in the Beer Garden (Melbourne weather permitting - we've probably jinxed it now) for an in-depth guided tasting of 8+ different Boatrocker beers, spanning our whole sour spectrum.
Whatever piques your palate - tart and fruited ferments, farmhouse funk, or bold flavours that could only have come from a barrel - this is the session for you.
We'll break down different styles of sours and why certain cultures and production methods are chosen for those styles, discuss the importance of blending and balancing, explore how we experiment in the world of sours, and maybe even dip our toes into the lactose debate, all while drinking some absolutely cracking beers, of course.
You'll also get a chance to experience both the past and future of Boatrocker's sour side. Matt's going to raid his cellar stash to pour some past projects and also crack straight into our barrels-in-progress to give you a taste of what's to come.
