Birracano

The latest pilot brew to hit the taps in our Barrel Room is ‘Birracano’ - A wonderfully wacky experiment that could have only come from the mad mind of Matt Houghton. Birracano is a refreshing drop that was inspired by the traditional Italian cocktail, the Americano; which features Campari, sweet vermouth, and soda; but created with a Boatrocker point of view. 

While we’ve kept the sweet vermouth classically Italian, we’ve gone for a modern Australian take on Campari, using Boatrocker’s own ‘Birrativo’, a beer-based aperitif that highlights native ingredients. We’ve also skipped the soda and fizzed things up with our crisp and easy-drinking Mönk lager. Weird? Yes. Delicious? Also, yes. Served over ice with a splash of tonic, a dash of orange bitters, and a juicy slice of fresh orange, this tipple is poised to make your weekend ‘molto bene’. 🤌 🤌
